Employee Testimonials

Environmental Responsibility

Our goal is to divert non-refillable beverage containers from landfill by operating a system that collects and recycles them. We believe in minimizing our impact on the environment and we’re in business to help Albertans do the same.

Our People Matter

We provide great resources for our employees, including great benefits and an incentive based education and skill development program. We host fun staff events and make sure to celebrate key milestones with all our staff.

Job Stability

Our organization doesn’t experience the peaks and valleys that other industries do. Our system has been in operation since 1972 and grows every year. You can rest easy knowing that ABCRC will be in business year after year.

Committed to Safety

ABCRC adheres to the highest equipment and safety standards and works hard to maintain our Certificate of Recognition issued by Alberta Jobs, Skills, Training and Labour. ABCRC also has an employee-led Health & Safety Committee that meets monthly to address employee concerns and provide solutions.

Employee Testimonials

“ABCRC has supported my personal and professional growth, especially in furthering my education. I’m currently taking a certificate in marketing and strategic communication and ABCRC has been supportive. The education assistance program is easy to use and understand.”
Sarah Press, Community Investment Coordinator
“I started as a plant employee dumping bags. I’ve been here for 10 years now, promoted through lead hand and now to plant supervisor. The business is consistent – when the market is good we’re busy, and when the market is bad we’re still busy. I like the people I work with. We get the work done no matter what, but still have fun and joke around with each other.”

Jessica Villemaire, Operations Support
“I started with ABCRC as a part time clerk, then moved up through a full time clerk/operations assistant position, and now into my current role as Quality Control Coordinator. I’ve always had and continue to have a variety of tasks that challenge me. I am proud to be a part of a company that cares about making a positive impact on the people it employs, the community it resides in, and the environment. It is absolutely never boring working at ABCRC and quite often, it doesn’t even feel like work!”
Corinne Neilsen, Quality Control Coordinator
